Small Works: An (Affordable) Art Show

This show is conceived to provide collectors with an opportunity to purchase original art at an affordable price and to introduce the community to the joy of owning original works of art. Art will be unframed, and no larger than 8x10 inches. Art prices submitted to the show will be marked as follows: 8x10 - $81, 5x7 - $57, 4x6 - $46, etc. 3D art can be no greater than 8x10x10 inches square and is priced at $81 or less. Artwork can be of any subject, style, and medium.

The Pike Road Arts Council is proving that good things do come in small packages at Small Works: An (Affordable) Art Show & Sale! From May 5 - 26 at the Pike Road Arts Council (944 Wallahatchie Rd), you can explore bargain prices on original pieces by Alabama artists. Stop by the opening reception on May 5 from 2 - 4 p.m. for refreshments and a first look at these deals!

Hence its name, all art at this art show will be 8x10 and under. Prices will vary depending on size:

• 8x10: $81
• 5x7: $57
• 4x6: $46

*Tip: This is the PERFECT place to find those last-minute Mother's Day gifts! Bring mom along, and she can even help pick it out!*

Artists are invited to submit up to FIVE pieces, and there is NO entry fee to participate!

Art will be accepted at the Pike Road Arts Center Apr. 20 - May 4. The Arts Center & Water House Gallery (944 Wallahatchie Rd) are open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Sundays from 1 - 4 p.m. To mail in artwork, schedule drop-off during a different time, or learn more, please contact Arts Council Coordinator Patty Payne at 334-221-9004 or Patty@pikeroad.us.

The Pike Road Arts Center is located at 944 Wallahatchie Rd, under the water tower. It is home to the Water House Gallery, studio space, and a variety of events presented by the Pike Road Arts Council, an ENHANCE initiative committee.
