About the Event

Join the Pike Road Arts Council for Plein Air Painting: Capturing the Countryside three day workshop with accomplished artists Craig Reynolds and Perry Austin! September 19-21 at the Pike Road Arts Center (944 Wallahatchie Road), from 9 AM - 4 PM each day, work hands-on with Craig and Perry to refine your plein air painting skills. Perry Austin will focus on using color in the landscape and Craig Reyonlds will focus on value adjustment and composition. 

This workshop is designed for participants who are familiar with working outdoors. The goal is to immerse yourself in the experience, paint with heightened perception, and improve your outdoor painting skills. Demonstrations and individual attention will be provided throughout the workshop.

Price to particpate in this wokrshop is $400. A detailed supply list will be emailed to particpants upon registration completion.

The Pike Road Arts Center is located at 944 Wallahatchie Rd, under the water tower. It is home to the Water House Gallery, studio space, and a variety of events presented by the Pike Road Arts Council, an ENHANCE initiative committee.
