Art Talk & Tea is back! Join the Pike Road Arts Council on Sunday, Aug. 21, from 2 - 4 p.m. at the Pike Road Arts Center (944 Wallahatchie Rd) for Art Talk & Tea! Embroiderer, needlepoint expert, and Pike Road resident Cathy Gerachis will share her passion for creating art. Afternoon tea-style will be provided by Epicurean Delights.
Cathy Gerachis owner of Tuxedo Cat Stitches launched her second career as a creative needlepoint stitcher. She shared a passion for needlepoint with her mother for over 25 years. Trained as a landscape architect, she applies her brainstorming skills to the embellishment of painted canvas. Whether you are a beginner or experienced stitcher, or just hope to learn more about fiber arts, Cathy will share her joy for all things needlepoint. From basketweave to beading to couching to complex stitches, you will find her talk enlightening.
